Rehabilitation

The camera failed her once more
The monster was cheated once more
From the mask who gave her all the lies
She confidently depended upon it.

Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?
She wouldn’t bother to ask
But rather claim that she’s the best.

One day, one day………
She quietly, confidently whispered to herself
I’m the diamond buried within soil.
I’m the uncovered jade.
I might be invisible to you now,
One day, one day…..

Confidence covered up the ugly truth.
No truth is beautiful, if it is,
It’s called a miracle.

Such an attention seeker is she.
She believes that her soul belongs to the limelight.
Yet when facing an unexpected crowd,
All the preparation and thoughts of hers shed
In a flash, they evaporated and gone,
Just like that, leaving her with the naked, vulnerable soul.
She tried to cover up, but with what?
A forcible smile.
Her thoughts messed up.
What should I do? What just happened?

Noises of her dire desire
Blatantly disturbing and hitting
On her fragile and vulnerable wall
of her heart, of her mind, of her soul.

Noises, noises that she wished hers would be heard within it.

Time is always the best remedy for her.
No matter how hard things are, she rely everything upon time.
Time that could heal her hurt and humiliation.

“Screw those lies, I’m not gonna believe in you anymore”
She shout it out loud in her heart.
No one is gonna break her heart forever, only herself could.
Even if it takes forever, as long as she’s alive,
She knows that she could find the one that could make her shine.
Not the mirror, not the cosmetics, not the camera.
Something other than that.
